Hello universe,
Sorry for the late post I’ve been busy with assessments and exams, so this post is a wee bit late… okay very late. Anyway onto this week’s ramble.
Everybody in current day society struggles from different degrees of anxiety. No matter who you are or what you rank you are on the social ladder. Ariana Grande feels it, your friends and family do, your school janitor probably has a cupboard for crying, which who can blame them, it’s normal.
What isn’t normal is allowing that pressure to get you down on a day-to-day basis. Here are a few things that can help you push that unwelcome emotion away so that you can enjoy your day.

MAKE A TO DO LIST OR PLAN FOR YOUR NEXT WEEK:
If any of my readers possess the superpower of procrastination then you like me will make all these wonderful plans only to leave them sitting on your desk or in the infinite storage abyss in the back of your memory. Forgotten, discarded and lonely for all eternity.
While forgetting to follow through on plans can be a major bummer, the empowerment and misplaced confidence in yourself will give you a mood boost.
I have a cork-board which has three different to do lists on it;
My masters: which is time sensitive and important. My assignments and other things which I need to priorities.
My boredom busters: Random things which I can do in my spare time or while I’m watching a movie, some things on this list are crochet; writing; filling out a new sketchbook or any other task which requires about 80% of my brain.
The requests: This list contains all the things that other people tell me to do, like my folks telling me to clean my room, and memes giving me life advice.
POP OUT A SKETCH BOOK AND SCRIBBLE AWAY
Some people say that sketching or doing art stresses them out, which okay I can understand that. But personally I like to just pop out one of my sketch books (Yes I have a few) and just doodling. Drawing or really any form of art can be an outlet, it can relieve stress, anger, the sadness when it comes knocking, or if your just bored. If you need inspiration google ‘easy sketches’ or ‘abstract sketches’ there are allot of inspiring sketches there. Also check out art YouTubers like DrawingWiffWaffles and SuperRaeDazzle, those are two lovely ladies who are guaranteed to have something to chase away your drawing block.

PULL OUT MINECRAFT OF SOME OTHER DIGITAL GAME
Minecraft is a great game to pop out when you’re stressed. I have a server that Pringle and I have been working on for a few months and it’s honestly such a stress reliever whenever we connect via an Instagram call and just bop around for a few hours. Games like Stardew Valley, a quick round of Fortnight, Skyrim, Fallout 4, GTA 5, Far Cry 5, basically any RPG game is great. Just for the fact that you can escape your head for a while.
I would recommend playing a maximum of three hours a day otherwise your time just gets eaten and take it from a fellow procrastinator, you need to priorities your assessments before any game.
MOVIE MARATHON
Okay technically not a full-on back-to-back Marvel or Harry Potter marathon but watching A movie while bopping away on an assignment can be great. If any of my readers have the option of watching Netflix with a tub of peanut butter ice-cream, I envy you.
Some of my favorites, apart from Marvel, DC, or Harry Potter are Mortal Engines, Birdbox, The 5th Wave, Hunger Games, Divergent, The Host, basically any sci-fi/apocalyptic movie. That’s my personal favorite genre.
That’s about all for this week folks, sorry for the five-week hiatus, I will attempt to post weekly again not that my assessments are done.
If you have any methods for beating down stress contact me, and I’ll post them here for others to read. I’d love to hear from you.
Stay foxy folks,
The Shadow Girl, Fading Out xx
