Superpowers or super-problems?

Good morning, good evening or goodnight,
Turning in and completing assignments or drafts is never an easy task.
Add on the superpowers of confusion, denial and procrastination and that task can go from hard to border-line impossible.
Like everyone else out there I can relate to the struggles and benefits of online learning.
The benefits for introverts like me is the reduce in anxiety levels which come from being around other humans, and also the now nonexistent pressures of looking presentable outside the comfort of my lounge room.
The struggles now include indirect communication to teachers and support which hinders learning, especially for my fellow visual learners.
And of course the other struggles of the very distracting, ever-present social media.
I know I sound absolutely brilliant with doing my online work, but I know some tips and tricks to help with studying or completing assignments.
Tips to aid in the battle against procrastination:
- Turning off background apps or apps that aren't strictly related to whatever your studying/working on at the present time.
- Setting healthy breaks every half an hour which can snap you out of that little boredom zone that we all get into.
- Doing your work or study in a repetitive place, for example at a desk or seating area not a bed or lounge. I read somewhere that reading or working in an area where you sleep can change the signals your brain has for that area. For example when you sleep, generally on a bed unless you have a Netflix all-nighter, your brain knows that your bed is a dedicated sleep area, so it sends signals to help you sleep. If you're reading or studying in an area where you sleep consistently your body will begin to change those patterns or will just hinder your study, for example your brain will tell you to sleep when you should be focusing, and if done often enough instead of sleeping when you want to your brain will give you messages and stamina to help you focus, which isn't what you want when you're sleeping.
If you have any other tips or tricks you want to share, send me an e-mail. I'd love to hear from you guys.
Stay weird folks.
