Hello my fellow humanoids,
When I was growing up I had an obsession with Moshi Monsters, it was everywhere. I had a dona-cover of it, Nintendo DS games and custom stylus pens, membership pins which I wore with an atrocious pink fuzzy purse (I'll explain later). I even dresses up as Katsuma for a school book day. If you don't know who Katsuma is, or what Moshi Monsters is... You're missing out.
Now being the easily-distracted and overly-curious person I am, while I was supposed to be doing work the other day, I thought "I wonder if my Moshi Monsters account still works" keep in mind I last used it at least six years ago. Lo and behold when I embarked upon my quest of internet exploration they've shut it down!
The betrayal, oh these wounds will never heal... I'm kidding, though I was a bit surprised that they cancelled everything last December, the game was a big hit. Now when I say they cancelled it, I mean everything; the site, the games, even the unrelated yet slightly related Moshi Games site. Which I got to say was the bomb back when I was in grade six. I used to play this game called 'Animal Shelter', it's available at other sites, but I always used to go to Moshi Games to play it. I used to love the aspect of taking care of tiny little creatures and naming them.
So whenever all the other kids in my class were in the school computer lab and were all playing Halo or Slender Man; the eight pages, I would be off in my tiny little corner just bopping along, running around the world of Moshi Monsters as my little Katsuma character who was of course the original colors, collecting Moshlings and customizing my room. And who can forget the cupcake game... Man that game was the best.
If you played Moshi Monsters before it shut down, who was your favorite Moshling?
Did you ever have a Moshling that you hated?.. I may or may not have hated Mr. Snoodle, I still have no idea why.
Sorry to anyone who has no idea what I've rambled on about.
Stay Foxy Folks,
The Shadow Girl, Fading Out xx
